EIP

In 2021 Jack engaged with the Irish Agroforestry Forum to explore the idea of getting more trees onto the farm. 

The forum members were extremely happy to help with advice, ideas and experiences. Ian Short from Teagasc reached out directly asking if I would be interested in becoming a demonstration site for a European Innovation Partnership (EIP) project. I was certainly interested and he introduced me to Imogen Rabone of Trees on the Land. 

During the initial meetings Imogen described herself as my Fairy Tree Mother, explaining that she will support a project as ambitious as I am comfortable with. After a lot more research and consultation with the team from Trees on the Land a rough plan was developed. Planting began in January 2022.
